Response Summary
Catty corner 43%
Kitty corner 46%
Other 11%

This one came up with better results than I expected. Kitty corner seems to be a Northern word, whereas catty corner is a Southern word (though in this case, "South" starts in Pennsylvania).

Other responses were mixed, including a lot of "diagonal" and "across" responses. A few people indicated that they had never heard of such a thing as kitty or catty corner, some conveying their eloquence with responses like "wtf?".
