What do you call "A vessel for drawing up water from a well, or for catching, holding, or carrying water, sap, or other liquids?"

In my Linguistics Class we learned that bucket/pail is commonly used by linguists to determine dialect boundaries. They must get better results than I did, because all this map seems to prove is that most people say 'bucket'.
